How to Request a ride on Eduride?

To request on Eduride follow the next steps:

  • Open the app & tap “Current location” to request from your exact location, or tap "Where to?" to choose a different pick up point. After you've set your pick up point and destination;

  • choose “Request Eduride”

    If you’re getting message “No cars available”, please wait a couple of minutes and try to request again.

How are the prices calculated?
  • Eduride trip fares are calculated using certain fixed values (Rands) multiplied by the estimated duration of a ride.

Can a driver from another Town/ City accept my request?
  • Yes, all drivers who are registered on the Eduride platform can accept requests. However, only drivers within 3-5km from you will receive your request. Additionally, the drivers information is always displayed once they have accepted a ride, meaning you as the rider will be able to see the drivers name, photo, phone number & vehicle information.

  • Further information may be requested after a ride has been completed - only for emergency situations.

What type of payments does Eduride Accept?
  • Eduride accepts Cash and Card payments.

How does Eduride validate their service users?

We are passionate about the safety of our users & we have put some of the following measures in place;

  • The user needs to provide their personal details upon registration.

  • Passengers provide their phone number, email address & photo.

  • Drivers provide personal details such their phone number, email, professional driving permits as well as vehicle details such as vehicle registration, license & operating disks, inspection reports. Moreover, drivers need to undergo a criminal record check and a recruitment interview.

How can I become a driver on Eduride?
  • To become a driver-partner, please fill out a form on the website https://Edu-ride.com or download the Eduride app from your mobile app store and sign up.
